Step 1
For our example we used the fine-nibbed edding 780 gloss paint marker in light blue metallic (colour code 070) and green metallic (074), plus the edding 753 with calligraphy nib in gold (053).

Step 2
Before using a gloss paint marker, you need to activate it: Shake the marker vigorously with the cap still on. Remove the cap, place the nib on a piece of absorbent paper and pump it up and down a few times until ink appears in the nib. Now you’re ready to get started. (And don’t forget to always store the marker horizontally after use.)

Step 3
Next, use the metallic gloss paint markers to embellish the glass holder with a swirl design featuring stars and dots. To get a Milky Way effect, it’s best to draw the motifs very close together. If you want to work with several colours, let one colour dry briefly before continuing with the next.
