For our example we used the fine-nibbed edding 780 gloss paint marker in light blue metallic (colour code 070) and green metallic (074), plus the edding 753 with calligraphy nib in gold (053).
Before using a gloss paint marker, you need to activate it: Shake the marker vigorously with the cap still on. Remove the cap, place the nib on a piece of absorbent paper and pump it up and down a few times until ink appears in the nib. Now you’re ready to get started. (And don’t forget to always store the marker horizontally after use.)
Next, use the metallic gloss paint markers to embellish the glass holder with a swirl design featuring stars and dots. To get a Milky Way effect, it’s best to draw the motifs very close together. If you want to work with several colours, let one colour dry briefly before continuing with the next.
