Step-by-step
Step 1
You can see everything you need in this photo. We’ve used the following spray colours for the design: edding 5200 permanent spray in traffic white (colour code 922), silver (923), light lavender (931) and rich gold (924). You can use any other colour of your choice.
Step 2
Before you spray, carefully cover your work area with film or paper. Shake the can vigorously for about 3 minutes so that the mixing balls can be clearly heard. To remove the safety ring, first remove the cap and then the sprayhead. Next, use a screwdriver to lift the safety ring. We recommend you spray at a distance of approx. 25 cm for best results and to ensure as even coverage as possible. First, spray the walnut halves (in lavender in our photo) before leaving to dry thoroughly.
Step 3
Next, spray the tips of the palm leaf in white. If you take a short break during spraying, always shake the can again before restarting.
Step 4
Cut the ends off the dried flowers and use the craft wire to tie them into a small bunch. Attach them to the frame.
Step 5
Once the paint is completely dry, glue on the walnut halves using the hot glue gun.
Step 6
Finally, attach the decorated leaf to the metal frame using the bendable craft wire.
Step 7
To create a real eye-catcher, you can also spray dried hydrangeas with edding permanent spray for a decorative effect.
Step 8
In this picture, you can see the results using golden acrylic paint.
