We are a company that is passionate about training. Amongst other things, our trainees can expect a structured training plan in order to become familiar with all of the company's departments (and, where necessary, our foreign companies), fixed contacts both within and outside their respective departments, regular afternoon events for trainees, meet-and-greets with the management board, as well as an excellent working atmosphere with international flair. A level of engagement that has also impressed the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK), who honoured us in 2015 with the IHK training award.

Per Ledermann, our Managing Director, sums it up: "Even our youngest staff already have ink running through their veins. We don't just want to empower our trainees from a technical perspective, we also want to give them the opportunity to further develop themselves from a personal perspective, to take on responsibility at an early stage and to introduce their own ideas."

Brief overview
At edding, IT specialists in system integration have a broad range of duties: not only do they help plan the integration of systems, they are also involved with the configuration and maintenance of these systems. When problems arise, their job is to solve them, using the wide variety of tools at their disposal. They also give advice on all sorts of technical issues and provide the best possible support to users, e.g. by replacing equipment in the workplace, maintaining Active Directories or restoring data.

Teaching at the vocational school covers the background knowledge and general skills in various fields that are required for the export trade specialist role.

Process mechanic for plastics and rubber technology

Brief overview
As a process mechanic for plastics and rubber technology, you cover a wide range of activities, including production planning, control and supervision and are directly responsible for the manufacture of plastic parts used for edding products in the injection moulding process. Tasks include fitting and setting up the production machines, optimising their operation as well as controlling the product quality during the entire production process. In the course of becoming a specialist in polymer materials, you will, during your training, learn about the specific characteristics of polymer materials as well as how to combine their various manufacturing processes for an optimal production process.

As an industrial mechanic, you will learn how to manufacture machine components and groups using cutting machines, as well as how to install these in a technical system. Welding different structures also forms part of the extensive field of activity, as does the maintenance and repair of manufacturing machines. You will ensure that machines and production systems remain operational, by troubleshooting and replacing defective components.

Training to become a wholesale and export trade specialist (specialising in wholesale trade) takes place exclusively at our Wunstorf site, as this is where the national (German) sales department is located.
