By submitting your drawings or project, you will automatically be entered to our raffle. Who knows, you might win one of the ten edding product prizes, perfect for your next creative project!
The steps are explained below:
- Step 1 - Create or select a template for your Festive Drawing
- Step 2 - Choose the right edding marker
- Step 3 - Start and get creative
- Step 4 - Take a picture of your drawing
- Step 5 - Upload your picture, using #eddingfestivemoment
- Step 6 - With a bit of luck, win one of ten edding product packages
Step 1 - Select a template for your Festive Project
It all starts with an idea. You can draw freehand, use our template generator or download and print one of our special drawing templates in different variations and levels of difficulty.
A tip for window drawing: Stick the template on the window, start tracing and watch your windows transform into a festive masterpiece. If you want the drawing to be readable from the outside, stick the mirror image on the outside. You can then trace the drawing from the inside.
For other materials, you can use tracing paper for example. Place the thin sheet of paper between the template and the surface you want to design and transfer your favourite template motif with a pencil or pen (yellow copy paper is particularly suitable for dark backgrounds). Then trace and color the motif with the marker.
If you are more advanced, have the template ready and transfer the template motif onto the object with a pencil and decorate it with the right edding marker.
Step 2 - Choose the right edding marker
For special metallic effects on dark and light cards, tags or on wrapping paper. our edding metallic brush pens are ideal for writing and lettering too!
Bring your creations to life with the edding acrylic markers. Add some holiday cheer to light and dark surfaces and embelish picture frames, stones, terracota pots, wood, canvas and more.
Where to buy the right chalk marker
No edding chalk marker at home? You can buy them at the following online and store outlets:
Step 3 - Let's start and get creative
Once you have your template and the right marker at hand, you can start your project. Cynthia is showing us here how to make a window drawing, as well as a few additional handy hints and tips!
Would you like to realise other creative ideas on other surfaces? No problem! We have some fun how-to-tutorials and tips, to help you start in case a little holiday inspiration is needed.
Step 4 - Take a picture of your project
When you’ve finished your Festive Drawing, take a clear photograph ready for uploading or posting.
A tip for Window Drawings: It is best to take a photo in the evening (without flash), when there is less sunlight and therefore fewer reflections on the window.
Step 5 - Upload your picture
Spread ideas, inspiration and the passion for creativity into the world. Help us create a merrier holiday season by not only drawing on windows but also on other surfaces like paper, glass, wood, stones and many more - just get creative!
