Step-by-step

Step 1

You will need the following acrylic markers for this decorative idea: medium edding 5100 acrylic marker in rich gold (colour code 924); broad edding 5000 acrylic marker in warm beige (255); edding 5400 3D double liner in rich gold (924).

Step 2

First, activate the markers as follows: shake the marker with the cap on until you can clearly hear the mixing balls inside the pen. Next, carefully pump the marker up and down several times until ink appears in the nib. Pump the broad acrylic marker at a slight angle in order to protect its delicate nib. Test the pen out on a piece of paper. Using the outermost edge of the broad acrylic marker’s nib, draw short lines from the top part of the decoration to the bottom. Add smaller offshoots at intervals along the short lines before drawing thin, oval-shaped leaves growing from them. Complete the decoration in this design.

Step 3

The gold-coloured acrylic marker will add sparkling touches to your tree decoration. The addition of little dots and baubles in place of red berries will make it look like a sprig of mistletoe.

Step 4

If you add individual berries using the acrylic 3D double liner, it‘s very easy to create a fascinating structure. Once dry, the golden berries take on a textured appearance on the ceramic decoration.
