Step-by-step

Step 1
Start by cutting out the cards in the size you want. You can either download a template with Christmas images from our website, or make your own. If using a dark shade of card, you’ll need light-coloured carbon paper to transfer the design onto the card. And for light-coloured paper, the best choice is standard, dark carbon paper. Place the carbon paper on the card, then place the template on top. Use the pencil to transfer the motif onto the card – like these snowflakes, for example.

Step 2
The next step is to simply trace the motifs or lettering using the edding 1200 metallic colour pen. The colour pens are ready to use straight away without shaking, and they come in a choice of six metallic colours. Fine lettering and patterns are best drawn with the tip of the pen.

Step 3
Here’s how you can draw your own decorative wreath without using a template: Sketch out a circle in pencil. Starting at the bottom of the circle, use the gold colour pen to draw a row of small leaves on either side until you reach the top. Intersperse the leaves with tiny baubles in silver. Don’t worry if your circle is uneven, because a leafy wreath is a forgiving design and it won’t matter. Using the colour pen in silver, finish off with a Christmas greeting or just a single word placed boldly in the centre.
