Step-by-step

Step 1
The first quote in our example reads: “Life is about the people you meet.” Plan your layout in advance and how you want to divide up the words. Using the ultra fine-tipped edding 1800, write the individual words in capital letters or in a flat, wide font, adding a frame if you like – it’s entirely up to you. Or you may wish to emphasise certain strokes and embellish them with flourishes or other motifs. We used a black edding 1340 brush pen for this.

Step 2
Thanks to the versatile brush tip of the edding 1340 brush pen, you can produce hand lettering without even trying – well, almost! Vary the width of your upward and downward brushstrokes by changing the pressure on the tip as you write. Tip: experiment with different font styles and vary the letterforms until you find the ones you like best.
