Step-by-step
Step 1
First, stick a piece of brown wrapping paper onto the lower section of your card. It will look more interesting if, rather than simply cut the edge of the paper in a straight line, you tear it instead. You can design the card freehand or by using our template. Print out the template. Enlarge or reduce it to the right size to match your card. Use carbon paper to transfer the template onto the card with ease using a pencil.
Step 2
Next, go over the lettering in your favourite shade before colouring in the details and filling in larger areas. The soft brush tip will lend a personal, unique feel to any lettering. In our example, we’ve used light orange, silver grey, black and gold, all of which are also available in a handy set of four. The gold-coloured ink is opaque and can be painted over the other shades effortlessly.
