If you fancy making a really special handmade card as a gift, this glittery card is a guaranteed surprise. Featuring a brush nib, edding’s new glitter pens can magic up a sparkly card that really stands out in an instant. Simply draw a few glittery lines on a piece of paper in different pastel colours and vibrant blue. Cut out the paper and glue it on, and that’s it - your motif is ready! If you add the word “surprise” in curved lettering, you can transform the card into a real eye-catcher. For a bit of fun, add an extra sprinkle of glitter to create good vibes.

Step-by-step

Step 1

You can see everything you need in the photo. Choose the glitter brush pens in your favourite colours. Print out the template so it’s ready to use.

Step 2

Use the glitter brush pen to draw broad, even strokes on the white paper. If you hold the pen flat and push down gently, the lines will come out almost by themselves.

Step 3

Next, draw the “ribbon” on the present using the edding 1800 profipen.

Step 4

Cut the present out, making sure you cut off the rounded edges created by the brush pen at the start of each stroke.

Step 5

Cut out a small piece of corrugated cardboard and stick it in the centre of the folded card. Later on, you’ll glue the present onto the cardboard to create an attractive raised effect.

Step 6

It’s a good idea to write the word “surprise” on the card in pencil first, before going over it with the edding 1800 pen. That way, you can accentuate and embellish individual letters really nicely.
