You don’t need to be an experienced artist to paint it – with the right pens and our template, even beginners will be able to do so. Read on to see how easy it is to mix and brighten the colours in order to create an awesome picture.

Step-by-step

Step 1

In this picture you can see the extensive contents of the Colour Happy Big Box. Download the template and print out a copy.

Step 2

You can create fantastic colour gradients using the Colour Mixer from the pen box. To do so, clip two edding 1340 brush pens into the Colour Mixer so that the nibs are touching. Hold the pens upright and after just a few seconds the lower pen will take on the colour of the upper pen.

Step 3

You can then use the newly mixed colours to colour in the roof of the circus tent, for example.

Step 4

Continue colouring in the big top to your heart’s content and let your imagination run wild. Use the edding 1300 colour pen from the Colour Happy Big Box to do so.

Step 5

The edding 55 fineliner is really handy for shading areas, drawing narrower lines or defining precise outlines, just as we’ve done with the blue pen in this photo.

Step 6

If you go over the coloured areas with the edding 1500 pastel pen, you can achieve beautiful pastel shading as we’ve done here with the dots on the red edging.

Step 7

The finishing touch to the picture is the child’s name. Thanks to its brilliant flexible brush nib, the edding 1340 brush pen will create a really expressive look.
