Schritt für Schritt
We recommend you first practise the words you want to write so you can see what layout you like best. Alternatively, you could pick a saying or motto and reproduce it using brush lettering. There are no set rules when it comes to brush lettering – anything goes. You can use a variety of fonts, such as script or block letters, narrow or broad letterforms. It’s a good idea to try out a range of styles beforehand. The Pastel Pen – Soft White is ready to use straight away and writes in a slightly transparent shade of white. When the letters are dry, draw over them again and the white will become more intense.
The Pastel Pen makes expressive fonts look really beautiful: use light pressure on the brush tip for the upstrokes and contrast these by applying heavier pressure on the downstrokes. Start by drawing guidelines to help keep all the letters the same height. For additional design options, you can also vary the distance between letters. Add the finishing touches with shading and delicate decorative features such as borders, dots and stars.
Hints and tips: Combine the Pastel Pen – Soft White with brightly-coloured edding fibre pens (e.g. the edding 1340 brushpen) to achieve fabulous effects such as delicate pastel tones! Taking the Pastel pen, simply draw over an area that you have already coloured in with fibre pens. Using this method, a vibrant pink can be transformed into a dusty pink which, in turn, can be made even lighter by repeatedly applying the Pastel Pen until you achieve the colour you want.
