Step-by-step
Step 1
Use the edding 1340 brush pens in various colours to shade areas of the plastic sheet in your own style. It will look particularly nice if you work with one colour scheme at a time – like these orangey-red tones, for example.
Step 2
Putting the plastic sheet to one side, wet the paintbrush and gently sweep it across the paper, letting the water soak in.
Step 3
Place the plastic sheet coloured side down on top of the paper and transfer the ink by pressing down firmly with your hand. The result is a fascinating watercolour effect.
Step 4
When the ink is evenly distributed, carefully remove the plastic and leave the paper to dry.
Step 5
You can use this method to create watercolour designs in a huge range of colour combinations.
Step 6
Once all the watercolour sheets are dry, cut out rectangles in different sizes, lay them on top of each other according to size, punch a hole and tie them together with a matching piece of ribbon.
Step 7
To finish off your personalised gift tags, use the edding 1800 profipen to add a sentiment, greeting or the name of the recipient.
