Step-by-step
Step 1
First of all, think of a short poem or a quotation you’d like to add. Using the gel roller, write the text over and over again on the sheet of paper, line after line, until you have created a “wallpaper of words”. Metallic colours are most effective on dark paper.
Step 2
Use the pencil to sketch the petal shapes over the writing and cut them out. Each petal should be approx. 8 cm long and 4 cm wide. Include a stalk at the bottom of each one for attaching the petals to the branch with wire.
Step 3
Carefully form the petals lengthways into a cup shape for a slightly three-dimensional effect. And there you have it – your flower decoration (or surprise Valentine’s decoration) is now finished!
