Impressive works of art are now possible, especially on canvas and paper. And you don’t even have to feel confined to your desk at home, because these handy acrylic markers have the added bonus that they're easy to take with you, wherever you go. So grab your canvas and a selection of acrylic markers in your chosen colours and head off for a spot of painting, be it in a café, at the zoo or in the park. Шаг 1

To paint our lion's head picture, you'll need the edding acrylic Creative Set which contains markers in various colours: 2 x fine edding 5300 acrylic markers, 6 x medium edding 5100 acrylic markers, 3 x broad edding 5000 acrylic markers and one edding 5400 3D double liner. What's more, the set also comes with a high-quality postcard pad. You can see everything you need at a glance in our photo.

Print out the two-page template and stick the two sections together. Place the motif behind the canvas. Put a light source behind both canvas and template, then start tracing the template.

Before you begin, the acrylic marker needs to be activated as follows: shake the marker with the cap on, then carefully pump the nib up and down until ink appears in the nib. Test the marker on a piece of scrap paper.

First, take the medium acrylic marker in classy mauve and colour in one section of the lion’s mane. For the outer parts of the mane you'll need sunny yellow and traffic yellow. You can also add touches of sunny yellow to the traffic yellow areas. To ensure you don’t inadvertently mix your colours, you should let one colour dry before continuing with the next.

Use the medium acrylic marker in traffic red to outline sections of the mane and add some contours. Again, you should let one colour dry before continuing with the next.

Now use the medium acrylic marker in berry to gradually fill in more sections of the mane. Once you’ve done that, it's time for the 3D double liner: between the areas coloured yellow and berry use the fine nozzle to apply some delicate highlights in pastel blue.

Draw the eyes, nose and mouth using the black acrylic marker. Now it’s the turn of the outer area of your picture: use the broad acrylic marker to colour it gentian blue. Leave everything to dry thoroughly afterwards.

For a finishing touch, add some contour lines in sunny yellow.

Finally, using the wide nozzle of the 3D double liner, paint a series of evenly-spaced light blue stripes on the blue background. Applied in this way, the colour paste creates a three-dimensional effect.
