Write the “Up” label on your wooden box using an edding 550 permanent marker. Thanks to its broad round nib, this marker is great for adding both the chunky arrow and the more delicate lettering. The ink also dries fast and shows up really well on light backgrounds.

Once you’ve finished labelling your wooden box, place it on the stairs. Throughout the day, simply collect up any items that need returning upstairs. The only question left is: who will take the box up with them?
