edding EcoLine once again awarded as Green Brand
A pioneering spirit and sustainability are integral parts of the edding Group's corporate culture. As early as 2008, edding introduced the EcoLine product series, which included highlighters, permanent markers, whiteboard markers, and flipchart markers made predominantly from recycled materials or renewable resources.
The product range is continuously being developed with sustainability in mind. Today, 83 percent of the permanent markers, whiteboard markers, and flipchart markers are made from post-consumer recycled (PCR) material. The edding 24 EcoLine Highlighter, made predominantly from renewable resources, was the first marker of its kind to receive the Blue Angel ecolabel in 2018.
The latest addition to the product range is the EcoLine paint marker, which has now been awarded the Green Brand certification for the first time. It features water-based ink, and the plastic used in the product is made from approximately 75 percent PCR material.
“We are delighted to receive this award again, as it particularly underscores our sustainable profit-for strategy, where economic success is not an end in itself, but rather the foundation for ecological and social commitment. With the edding EcoLine series, we are pursuing this goal at the product level as well,” explains Per Ledermann, CEO of the edding Group.
