Step-by-step
Step 1
Our photo shows you at a glance all the materials you’ll need. To make the name cards, cut out rectangles measuring approx. 6 cm x 2.5 cm.
Step 2
Form the rosemary sprigs into small wreaths. Fresh rosemary is best as it bends more easily without breaking. Secure the two ends together with twine and tie with a knot.
Step 3
You’re now ready to design your DIY place cards. If you’re not familiar with using a calligraphy pen, it’s a good idea to try it out beforehand. To maintain a beautifully consistent calligraphic style, always hold the pen at the same angle and don’t let it rotate. As we mentioned earlier, we have lots of useful hints and tips for you which you can find here.
Step 4
When the time comes for arranging the place settings, place a serviette on each plate and decorate with a rosemary wreath and a handmade place card.
