Create your own cushions

Become a fashion designer and create your own cool cushions!

You simply can’t have too many cushions – one or (preferably) more will make your sofa or reading nook super cosy and comfortable. Using edding textile markers, it’s easy to create your own stylish cushion covers. Simply think up a pretty pattern or use one of our many templates to get started. Whether you decide on graphic prints, lettering or natural motifs, the sky’s the limit – you’re the designer! The edding textile markers and textile pens are perfect for use on all light-coloured fabrics, including cotton, silk and linen. You can choose from a range of 20 colours in two stroke widths, including neon shades for an especially vibrant effect. What’s more, the sets are ideal for beginners and advanced crafters alike: each of the new sets contains five perfectly colour-coordinated shades, from cool blues and greens to warm reds and assorted base colours. After you’ve finished your design, iron the cushion cover using the no-steam setting. Your design will then withstand washes of up to 60°C.

Step-by-step

Step 1

Before you begin, we recommend that you wash and dry any new cushion covers so that the ink is absorbed better. If you’d like to use a template, it’s best to make it out of cardboard.

Step 2

Slide the template into the cushion. This way you can easily trace the pattern while ensuring the ink won’t transfer to the back of the cushion. Trace and colour in your design with a textile pen or marker. If you want, you can also create your design free-hand. To fix your design, iron it using the no-steam setting. Your designer cushions will now withstand washes of up to 60°C!
