A romantic present for your loved one

Finding a suitable gift for your sweetheart on Valentine’s Day can be quite a challenge. This idea appeals to all the senses in the truest sense of the word! What’s more, it’s really easy to copy. Take a look and you’ll see that each package contains a loving gift to stimulate one of the senses. So, for instance, “taste” could contain a sweet treat, “smell” could be aftershave, and “sound” could be a link to a favourite song. You can use the classic permanent markers from edding (which adhere to almost any material) to label the boxes and packages accordingly and design the card using hand lettering. You have up to 20 colours to choose from. Alternatively, if you prefer a more subtle look, you can use black on its own.

Step-by-step

Step 1

For our design, we chose the classic edding 3000 with a medium wide nib. Simply choose your favourite colours. The boxes can be made out of any sort of light-coloured material, as the permanent marker ink will always stick.

Step 2

In this photo, you can see how we decorated a plastic box with the link to a particular music track.

Step 3

A metal tin is easy to label using the permanent marker.

Step 4

When writing the card, you can play it safe by first sketching out the text in pencil. Once you’ve done that, go over it in permanent marker, embellishing the lines however you want. You can create an amazing look by mixing and matching various styles of writing in different font sizes.
