Step-by-step
Step 1
You can see everything you need in our photo. You'll need the edding 5200 permanent spray in lilac and berry. Alternatively, feel free to choose any other colour you wish. Before spraying, cover your work surface well with masking film or paper. In our Spray Basics section, we’ve got key tips to ensure the perfect spraying technique. Paper doilies in a variety of sizes and designs are perfect for creating delicate circular patterns. Simply arrange them on the placemat and, if necessary, secure them in place with sticky tape so that they don't slip while you're spraying.
Step 2
For the striped pattern, use the net curtain remnants and arrange them across the placemat however you like. Again, sticky tape can come in handy here to keep everything securely in place. Now apply spray over the whole area. Once the paint is completely dry, carefully remove the doilies or strips of net curtain.
