Step-by-step

Step 1
Make a light pencil sketch of your motif on the front cover. For complex patterns, we suggest you make a template and transfer the motif with the aid of carbon copy paper. Go over the letters with an edding 1340 brush pen, varying the pressure to achieve both fine and broad strokes.

Step 2
This is where the Brush Pen Colour Mixer comes in: use it to mix the colours any way you want, and create fantastic gradient effects. For each colour gradient you will need two brush pens. To make an orange-yellow gradient, for example, insert the orange pen in the top of the Colour Mixer and the yellow pen in the bottom, so that the pen tips are touching. Hold the pens vertically and wait 1-2 seconds.

Step 3
As well as brush lettering, the brush pen is also great for colouring in templates. Here, too, you can achieve beautiful colour gradients with the aid of the Colour Mixer.
