Step-by-step

Step 1
In our example, we’ve chosen to use three colours – blue, turquoise and silver – that can be bought together as a single set. Before starting your design, you’ll first need to activate your X multi markers. To do this, shake each of the markers with the cap still on until you can hear the small ball rattling inside the marker pen. Next, carefully press the nib up and down a few times on a piece of scrap paper until the ink fills the tip. You can also use the piece of paper to try out a few practice marks.

Step 2
Next, we recommend first drawing your design onto your bottle in pencil. This will make it easier to get it just right. You can then go back over your lettering using either the narrow or broad edge of the X multi marker’s chisel nib (as shown here in blue).

Step 3
Leave the blue ink to dry thoroughly. Once dry, colour in your lettering using the turquoise marker and leave that to dry as well.

Step 4
Finally, add a few shiny highlights to your design using the metallic silver marker. Wait for the ink to dry fully before using your bottle.
