Step-by-step
Step 1
We’ve created our design using the X multi marker pastel set that includes gold, mint and pastel rose. Our design template is available for you to download. Alternatively, draw a design of your own. We find it’s easier to draw out your design in pencil first, but you can also draw it freehand.
Step 2
Before you start, you’ll first need to activate your markers. To do this, shake your markers with the cap still on until you can hear the small ball rattling inside the pen. Next, carefully press the nib up and down a few times on a piece of scrap paper until the ink fills the tip. You can also use the paper to try out a few practice marks. Draw round the outline of your design (including the straw!) using the gold multi marker. The narrow side of the nib works really well for this step.
Step 3
Wait for the gold outline to dry thoroughly before moving on to your next colour (you don’t want the different colours running together). Now use your mint-coloured marker to colour in the top section of the beaker. You’ll find the broad side of the chisel nib is best for this step. Leave the colours to dry thoroughly.
Step 4
Finally, use your pastel rose marker to colour in the drink inside the beaker. Again, wait for everything to dry thoroughly.
