Step-by-step

Step 1
For this creative idea you’ll need edding 1340 metallic brush pens in your favourite colours, plus a black edding 3000 permanent marker.

Step 2
We’ve got a template you can use to help you design your gift box. Place it in position and draw both arms on the outside of the box using the edding 3000. If you want to play it safe, you can also copy the design using a pencil and carbon paper.

Step 3
Fill in the colourful rings on the sleeves using the metallic brush pens. Just combine a range of bright shades.

Step 4
To make the mini bunting bearing the words “Get well soon”, cut out three pieces of coloured paper in the shape of a diamond and fold down the middle to create triangles.

Step 5
Next, use the brush pen to decorate your three triangles in whatever way takes your fancy. You could, for example, create a border of small silver dots. Write one word on each bunting triangle. Metallic brush pens are ideal for designs on dark and coloured paper.

Step 6
Depending on what you decide to put in your get-well-soon gift box, you could even stick paper labels featuring your very own designs on jars of bath salts, for example.

Step 7
Finally, thread the ribbon through the fold of each triangle (making sure they are in the correct order!) and glue the two tips of each one together to keep the ribbon in place. To make the bunting look really attractive, attach the ends of the ribbon to two kebab sticks and arrange everything nicely in your mini hamper.
