Step-by-step

Step 1
For this journal idea, use the edding 2185 gel rollers in the colours of your choice. We’ve got a template for you to download. If you need to, print it out and place in position.

Step 2
If the pages of your journal are relatively thin, you can copy the template by tracing it into your journal using a pencil. Once you’ve done that, you can go over the motifs and lettering with a black gel roller.

Step 3
Then colour in the capital letters with a gel roller in gold and violet metallic, for example. They look best when you shade them evenly with the fine tip.

Step 4
To keep track of how much “me time” you’ve managed to build up, take the sheet of card and proceed as follows: roughly crop the sides and fray the edges a little. Using the edding 2185 in various colours, now draw a key like the one shown in this picture. Stick the card into your journal.

Step 5
Add the black frame using the edding 1200 colour pen. Use gel rollers to colour in all other motifs.

Step 6
Every day, shade how much “me time” you’ve been able to enjoy - even if you haven’t managed any time at all. In this picture, you can see what your journal page might look like after a week.
