Step-by-step

Step 1
You can see all the materials you need for this project in the picture below. You’ll need FUNTASTICS pens with broad and fine nibs. Choose your favourite colours.

Step 2
Print out the template on a sheet of A4 paper and colour in the creatures and plants however you like.

Step 3
Broad-tipped pens are great for colouring larger areas in next to no time. Fine-tipped pens, by contrast, are perfect for adding extra little details.

Step 4
It can be really fun to do the colouring together as this allows you to share ideas and encourage each other.

Step 5
If you really want to add lots ofdetail to your design, we suggest colouring the fishes’ scales in a whole range of different colours.

Step 6
Once you’ve finished colouring, cut out the creatures neatly with a pair of scissors. A grown-up may need to help with this step.

Step 7
Place the creatures face down and attach them to the top of wooden skewers using sticky tape.

Step 8
Finally, place each of the skewers into your bowl of sand. You can make your aquarium look even more realistic by using skewers in different lengths.
