Step-by-step

Step 1
The porcelain brush pens in attractive shades of blue and green are available in a handy set of 6. Before you start decorating, first wash the plate with water then wipe over with methylated spirits. Thorough cleaning is essential in order to remove any invisible protective film applied during manufacture. Next, paint your motif onto the rim of your plate, stroke by stroke, line by line. We recommend that you only decorate the rim because the use of cutlery could damage the design over time.

Step 2
If you go wrong or your design isn’t to your liking, simply wipe off with a damp cloth or correct with a damp cotton bud and repaint. Once you‘re happy with your design, leave the plate to dry for 15 minutes and preheat your oven to 160°C (heated from the top and bottom). Place the plate on a cold rack and bake your design for 25 minutes and allow to cool in the oven. Your decorative design will now be dishwasher-safe up to 50°C.
