We recommend you gather all your materials before you start. For this project you’ll need a selection of the fibre pens and fineliners provided in the Colour Happy Box. You can see all the materials you’ll need at a glance in our photo.
First of all, plan your page layout and sketch it out lightly in pencil. You can make it look really beautiful by using hand lettering to write the headings or selected words as well as by incorporating food-related pictures and motifs.
Small embellishments, borders and pictures are a good way to break up the text. Go over the pencil lines with the edding 1800 profipen included in the Colour Happy Box. What’s more, the edding 1340 brush pens are not only ideal for hand lettering and colouring in, they make it easy to add wonderful splashes of colour.
The brush pen colour mixer lets you blend any of the edding 1340 brush pen colours however you wish. For instance, if you want to create a green colour gradient: insert the yellow pen at the bottom and the blue pen at the top, so the nibs are just touching. Hold in a vertical position and wait a few seconds.
The yellow pen will have absorbed blue ink, allowing you to put pen to paper and create a beautiful colour gradient. After a while, the brush pen will revert back to yellow, which means all the blue ink has been used up and you can continue mixing other colours.
