If you’re looking for a bit of peace and quiet or you just want your own space, why not design your own personal “no entry” sign? Whether you go for cool patterns, amusing characters or a bright red imitation road sign, all you need are a sheet of card, a pair of scissors and edding permanent markers. So, grab yourself a marker and get designing!

Step-by-step

Step 1

First, cut the card so that it resembles the shape of a door sign. Make sure you cut out a hole so you can hang the sign on your door handle. If the card is particularly thick, a craft knife might be useful. Otherwise, a pair of scissors should work fine. Warning: get a grown-up to help you when using the craft knife to cut the card. To create your design, you’ll need a red permanent marker.
