Step-by-step
Step 1
Cut out the breast pocket from your piece of fabric, making sure you leave a little extra material to fold over. We recommend that you create a cardboard template for the cactus design and make sure you have all the materials you need before starting.
Step 2
After placing the cardboard under your fabric, place the cactus template on top of the fabric and draw around it with the textile marker in pale green. If you want, you can also create a free-hand design.
Step 3
Use the textile marker to draw and colour in your design.
Step 4
Once you’ve finished the first cactus, draw the outline of a second cactus slightly overlapping the first using the green textile pen. The outline will look like the shadow of the first cactus.
Step 5
Using a ruler and the textile pen in green, draw vertical lines in the overlapping area of the two cacti. Finally, add several small pink flowers and colour them in.
Step 6
To fix your design, iron it using the no-steam setting. Your designer piece will now withstand washes of up to 60°C! Sew or glue the breast pocket to the t-shirt.
