To blow out the eggs before decorating: pierce a hole at opposite ends of the egg and carefully use a pin to enlarge them slightly. Now blow hard through one of the holes to remove the contents. Rinse out the shells with clean water. The easiest way to paint eggs is to mount them carefully on a wooden stick (a skewer is ideal) so you have access all the way round.
And now for the fun part – the decorating: With a matt paint marker in your preferred shade, you're now ready to paint or write on the Easter eggs any way you like. The cap of the marker makes a great template to draw round for the spots. Hints and tips: White looks particularly effective against brown eggs, whereas gold and yellow shades show up best on white ones.
