Step-by-step
Step 1
We recommend that you start by washing the finish from the bag fabric and leaving it to dry. This project is easiest if you create a cardboard template for the cactus design and make sure you have all the materials you need before starting.
Step 2
Cut out a piece of cardboard the same size as your canvas bag and place it into the bag. This will prevent your design from transferring to the back of the bag. Next, place the cactus template on top of the fabric and draw around it as many times as you like using the edding textile marker in green.
Step 3
Using a ruler, take your textile marker and add three double lines to each cactus. These will look like white stripes once you’re done colouring in.
Step 4
Now colour in your cacti using the edding 4500 pen in green. Leave to dry for approx. 15 minutes.
Step 5
Finally, decorate each cactus with a couple of pink flowers. To fix your design, iron it using the no-steam setting. Your designer piece will now withstand washes of up to 60°C!
