Step-by-step

Step 1
You can see all the materials at a glance in our photo. The edding 1800 profipen is available in three different nib sizes ranging from 0.25 - 0.7 mm. The edding 1200 colour pens can be used to colour in the motifs and lines in whatever way you wish.

Step 2
First of all, write or draw the page title using an edding 1800 profipen in whatever stroke width you choose. For a really nice effect, try a mix of writing styles.

Step 3
Now draw the first few lines using the edding 1800. You can draw a slightly wavy line, for instance, or a leaf tendril, or a line broken up by a heart motif – whatever you fancy. You may wish to use a ruler to help you keep a straight line.

Step 4
Now it's time to use the colour pens. Colour in the tendrils and delicate lines in your own style. The fine nib of the edding 1200 is also excellent for colouring in very small motifs with precision.
