And by using our template of a fir branch, even total novices can quickly achieve great results.

Step-by-step

Step 1

You can see all the materials you need in this photo. First, give the glass bottles a thorough wash and allow to dry completely. To add your design, you’ll need the edding 751 gloss paint marker in white. Alternatively, simply select a colour of your choice. First, activate your gloss paint marker as follows: shake the marker vigorously with the cap still on, remove the cap and press the tip of the marker up and down several times on a piece of absorbent paper until ink appears in the nib. You can now get down to business!

Step 2

To make it really easy to add your design to your glass bottles, print out the template, place it inside the bottle and lightly attach it to the surface of the glass. By doing so, you can easily trace the design onto the outside of the bottle.

Step 3

Using the edding 751 gloss paint marker, add your design all around the bottle. Let the ink dry every so often to prevent your design from smudging.

Step 4

Once you’ve added your design, wrap a piece of string or ribbon around the neck of the bottle several times and tie it with a knot.

Step 5

Cut off a few leaves from your eucalyptus sprig (including the stalk) and attach them to the string or ribbon.

Step 6

To use the glass bottles as place cards, cut out a piece of brown wrapping paper and use the gloss paint marker to inscribe the name of each guest on it. If you like, you can even add a fitting sentiment on the inside of the paper. Roll up the paper, tie it up with ribbon and place inside the bottle.
