Step-by-step

Step 1
To make sure that your picture frame is as straight as possible, start by measuring your frame and marking out the top-left corner on the wall using some string held in place with adhesive tape.

Step 2
Use a spirit level to make sure that the string is horizontal.

Step 3
Next, measure out the right-hand edge of your frame and mark it on the wall using string. Check that the string is straight using the spirit level.

Step 4
The edding 8880 deep hole construction pencil comes in a sturdy protective holster. To extend the nib, press the button on the end of the pencil. Next, use the pencil to mark the top-left corner of your frame, followed by the top-right corner.

Step 5
Hold your picture frame against the wall and insert the deep hole construction pencil through the drill holes to mark the positions for the nails.

Step 6
Once everything is marked up, remove the strings before hammering the nails into the wall.

Step 7
Finally, hang your artwork.
