Step-by-step

Step 1
Cover your work surface and the surrounding area extensively with foil or paper. Before you start spraying, first remove the spray head from the spray can together with the red safety ring. Put the spray head back on and shake the can vigorously for about 3 minutes until you can clearly hear the mixing balls in the can. This is important as it ensures the colour pigments are mixed thoroughly. In our Spray basics section, we offer important tips about the perfect way to spray.

Step 2
To design the victory sign, first paint the outline of the hand on the gold foil using the fine acrylic marker in neon pink. Next, go round the outline of the sign with the permanent spray in neon pink or another neon shade.

Step 3
Suitably arrange various triangles in neon pink and white to create a heart shape. Awesome effects can be achieved by masking off individual areas of the canvasses that are not to be painted. This is how you achieve beautiful, well-defined arcs of colour. For larger areas, it is best to spray in a criss-cross motion to ensure optimum results.

Step 4
You can add nice extra touches using the Acryl 3D Double Liner. The neon colours of the acrylic markers go brilliantly with the permanent spray

Step 5
For the canvas featuring the map of the world in green, first cover a circle in the size you want using cardboard before spraying the outlines in neon green or another colour of your choice. Make the continents from aluminium foil before spraying each one separately and carefully gluing them on once they are dry.

Step 6
Create your rainbow, arc by arc, using permanent spray. If you want to be on the safe side, you can cover the strips that have already been sprayed before applying the next colour. This will stop spray mist from coming into contact with areas where it’s not wanted.

Step 7
Using the two tips of the Acryl 3D Double Liner you can also spice up the rainbow motif, for example by adding droplets or broad markings.
