First, print out the stencil and copy it to the right size (in our example we made the words “Bon Appetit” large enough to cover the full width of the mat). Carefully cut out the letters. Place the stencil on the mat and draw the letters using the broader edding 4000 matt paint marker.
Allow to dry for a short while before removing the stencil. It’s best to draw the leaf shapes by hand using the fine edding 4040. Break up the pattern with some interesting touches, like leaf veins or dots. These mats would look great together with matching cork coasters.
