Step-by-step
Step 1
In our example, we’ve used the X multi marker in silver, turquoise and blue. Before you start, you’ll first need to activate your markers. To do this, shake your markers with the cap still on until you can hear the small ball rattling inside the pen. Next, carefully press the nib up and down a few times on a piece of scrap paper until the ink fills the tip. You can also use the paper to try out a few practice marks.
Step 2
Once you’ve activated the blue X multi marker, first draw the basic outline of your motif. The versatile chisel nibs mean you can draw both fine and broad lines. Allow the ink to dry thoroughly.
Step 3
To avoid the colours running together, make sure the blue lines are well and truly dry before you continue with the next colour. Now add turquoise lines in the centre of the blue bolt of lightning.
Step 4
Again, allow the turquoise to dry thoroughly. Once dry, use the silver-coloured marker to add specific touches to the lightning. It’s best to use the narrow edge of the tip for this.
Step 5
Allow the ink to dry completely. And that’s it! Your DIY jeans are ready!
