Step-by-step
Step 1
For our design, we used fine-tipped edding 1200 colour pens in a range of colours, plus the edding 1800 profipen.
Step 2
First, decide on your page layout and sketch it out lightly in pencil. The key part is to draw 30 boxes, one for each day of the month. You can then decorate these in your own style with gorgeous late-summer motifs such as sunflowers, ears of wheat and toadstools. To be on the safe side, you may wish to make a template first. You can then simply trace over the motifs.
Step 3
Next, use the edding 1800 profipen to go over all the pencil lines, fill in some of the motifs and accentuate certain strokes.
Step 4
The heading “September” looks best when drawn with the black edding 1200 using bold, decorative lettering.
Step 5
To finish off, colour in the motifs to your heart’s content with the help of the edding 1200 colour pen in bright shades. There are 20 colours in the range, so your favourites are sure to be among them. And thanks to the fine nib, colouring in intricate details (ears of wheat, delicate leaves) is no problem. Before the ink dries, try blending the colours into each other to create special decorative effects.
