edding highlighter wins the PBS Green Award

Elation at edding: the edding 24 EcoLine highlighter has won the PBS Green Award 2022 in the Writing instruments category.

The award was bestowed on sustainable products in five categories of the paper, office supplies and stationery sector. Twenty-four companies took part in the competition, fielding a total of 33 products relating to writing, office technology, office supplies, stationery and ergonomics. The jury consisted of independent representatives from retail and industry bodies. By presenting the 2ndPBS Report Green Awards, the PBS Report trade journal hopes to keep the focus on the “green office” and offer a broad platform for sustainable product solutions.

“We’re delighted that our EcoLine highlighter has been recognised with this award. After all, it shows that we are on the right track when it comes to our sustainability initiatives. At the same time, the award gives us further incentive to continue investing in sustainable products in the future,” commented Per Ledermann, edding CEO.

The edding 24 highlighter boasts a variety of environmentally-friendly features. At least 90% of the cap and barrel are made from renewable materials, while the mouthpiece and filter fibres are made almost entirely from recycled materials. In addition, the marker is refillable, significantly extending its useful life and helping to prevent waste. The edding 24 EcoLine highlighter has also been awarded the Blue Angel ecolabel. It is available in five vibrant neon colours and is suitable for use on nearly all types of paper. The product is part of the climate-neutral EcoLine product range, itself a past recipient of the German Ecodesign Award and winner of the Green Brand Germany Award on several occasions.
