Step-by-step
Step 1
Hammer the large nail into the top of the wooden log, remembering to leave at least 6cm of the nail visible. Then remove the head of the nail using the pliers or a hacksaw and put to one side. Place the Styrofoam ball on the skewer. Then cut out the shape of the wings from the cardboard sheet.
Step 2
Now apply the plaster bandage to the Styrofoam ball and wings: irst, cut it into small strips. Place each strip one after the other into a small bowl of water, remove and squeeze out any excess water with your fingers. Then wrap the wet plaster bandage over the entire surfaces of the ball and wings (including the edges). Leave to dry thoroughly. Once dry, use the edding gloss paint markers to decorate the wings and head in a style of your choice.
Step 3
Then spray the decorated plaster head and wings using the transparent clear lacquer and leave to dry thoroughly. To assemble, remove the skewer and position the head on the nail in the wooden log, then attach the wings to the reverse side of the log using the hammer and roofing nails. And there you are – you've finished!
