Step-by-step

Step 1
Before you start, you’ll need to wash, dry and iron your tote bag to make sure the ink adheres well to the fabric. edding 4500 textile markers come in a selection of 20 colours. Just pick your favourites! A copy of the design template is also available for you to download.

Step 2
Place your printed template on top of your cardboard base and slide both inside your tote bag. The cardboard will prevent any ink from bleeding through onto the reverse side of your bag.

Step 3
The template should show clearly through the fabric, making it easy for you to trace the figures onto your bag. Simply select markers in your favourite colours and let your creative juices flow!

Step 4
edding textile markers are also great for adding lettering. We chose black, for example, to write the word “together”.

Step 5
Once you’re happy with your design, iron it all over (without steam) to fix the ink. Your new bag can then be machine-washed at up to 60°C.
