Step-by-step

Step 1
First, wash, dry and iron your table runner to make sure the colours adhere properly to the fabric. In our example, we’ve used a set of 5 edding 4600 textile pens in cool blue shades.

Step 2
Prepare your workspace by placing a sheet of cardboard under your table runner to prevent any ink from bleeding through onto the table. Next, use your textile pens to draw a series of dots in a circular pattern all the way along your table runner. By adding dots in different shades of blue, you can create a really attractive and coherent pattern. Once you’re done, simply iron over the fabric without steam to fix the ink.
