Step-by-step

Step 1

In our example, we used edding gloss paint markers in pastel rose (colour code 138), pastel blue (139), pastel yellow (135), pastel green (137) and black (001). The ink in these markers is opaque and adheres well to plastic.

Step 2

Before using a gloss paint marker, you need to activate it: Shake the marker vigorously with the cap on, then remove the cap, place the nib on absorbent paper and pump it up and down gently a few times until ink appears in the nib. Now you’re ready to get decorating. (And don’t forget to always store the marker horizontally and close well after use.)

Step 3

Using the black gloss paint marker, label the bottles accordingly to match their contents – shampoo, body lotion, shower gel, and so on. If the ink runs dry, pump the nib gently as described above until the ink flows again.

Step 4

The ink is quick-drying, which means you can continue to apply the pastel colours after just a short wait. Draw whatever comes to mind – dots, hearts, smileys, flowers... If you’re using more than one colour, always let one shade dry briefly before continuing with the next.
