Cover your work surface carefully with masking film. When you’ve chosen your paint colour, shake the spray can for 3 minutes, then remove the sprayhead and prise off the safety ring with the aid of the screwdriver. In our example, we used neo mint (colour code 939) and pastel rose (914).
Briefly test the spray jet on a piece of scrap paper. We offer sprayheads in different widths, so you can swap them over as required.
The top third of the vase doesn’t need painting, so this area should be carefully masked with film. Now spray on the first colour (neo mint). We recommend that you spray continuously at a distance of approx. 25 cm, using horizontal and vertical strokes, so that the paint covers more evenly. Check out our Spray Basics section where you’ll find our handy tips on how to achieve the perfect spraying technique. Let the paint dry for about 30 minutes.
Once the paint is completely dry, continue with the next colour (pastel rose). Again, you need to mask the next third of the vase before you start.
Shake the can well as described earlier, remove the safety ring and you’re ready to apply the next coat of paint.
Once the paint is completely dry, carefully remove the pieces of film.
And finally, an extra tip: to create lovely additional effects, you can decorate sprayed items with gloss paint markers. Why not give it a try?
