Step-by-step

Step 1
Before decorating, clean thoroughly in the dishwasher and use a detergent or methylated spirits to remove fingerprints or traces of grease. As you decorate, make sure there are no unnecessary fingerprints underneath the ink as you apply it. Only use the brushpen for decorative purposes. Avoid decorating areas of the porcelain that are used for cutting, eating or drinking. For example, only decorate the rim of a plate or the outside of a mug.

Step 2
Try out the various designs on paper first, you can use our examples as guidance. If you make a mistake, immediately remove it with a damp cloth or cotton bud. Place the egg cup on a cold rack in a pre-heated oven at 160°C for 25 minutes. Then allow it to cool off in the oven. After baking, the design on your egg cup will be dishwasher-safe. Daily cleaning: avoid friction and rubbing by positioning the item in the dishwasher so that it's not in contact with other items of crockery or cutlery.
