Step-by-step

Step 1

We recommend that you make sure you have all the materials you need before starting. Here is a reminder of the materials you need.

Step 2

First, print and cut out the hummingbird template in the desired size. Attach the template to the stencil film with the tape and draw around the outline using the permanent marker.

Step 3

Cut out the hummingbird using a cutter. You now have a negative stencil for spraying.

Step 4

We recommend that you do your spray-painting outside. Place the hummingbird stencil on the canvas and apply glue anywhere you don’t want covered in paint. Tip: fix the template to the canvas using spray glue to make sure the edges sit flush with the canvas. We recommend that you spray paint from a distance of approx. 25 cm using horizontal and vertical strokes to ensure more even coverage.

Step 5

Leave the paint to dry for approx. 30 minutes. Next, carefully remove the stencil.

Step 6

Do the same to create your next hummingbird. Place the negative stencil on the canvas and cover everything else carefully. Spray the middle in the colour rose gold.
