Step-by-step

Step 1
Cast the bowls following the instructions supplied by the concrete manufacturer and leave them to dry out completely. If required, lightly sand the concrete surface with sandpaper before painting, brushing away any dust.

Step 2
You can achieve a striped effect by masking off sections with sticky tape or paper. Once you have decided on a particular edding permanent spray colour, it’s time to get down to painting. We recommend spraying with a rapid motion both horizontally and vertically to ensure more even coverage.

Step 3
Allow the paint to dry thoroughly. You can also apply a second colour to the underside or rim of the bowl – whatever takes your fancy. Finally, carefully remove the strips of tape once the paint has completely dried.

- Bucket for mixing the concrete

- Newspaper and cardboard as a protective backing
