Step-by-step

Step 1
First, download your chosen motif from our website. Our acrylic markers are available in an array of vibrant colours, so feel free to pick your favourites. In our example, we used the edding 5000 broad acrylic marker in black and the edding 5100 medium acrylic marker in gold, neon pink and opulent turquoise. Before use, activate all the markers by following the instructions shown on the actual pen.

Step 2
To copy the motif, place the template on the postcard-sized acrylic drawing paper and trace over the outlines with a sharp pencil so that the image is pressed through to the page underneath. Go over the outlines in pencil afterwards to make them clearer. To draw the sun, use the medium acrylic marker in gold.

Step 3
Next, colour in the mountains using opulent turquoise and neon pink. Finally, use black for the lower section of the image. The acrylic marker features a broad chisel nib, making it ideal if you’re colouring in larger areas.

Step 4
For the postcard with the seaside motif, we used the following products: edding 5300 fine acrylic markers in silver and white, the edding 5100 medium acrylic marker in opulent turquoise and the edding 5000 broad acrylic marker in neon orange. Simply pick your favourite colours.

Step 5
Use the broad edding 5000 acrylic marker in neon orange to colour in the beach.

Step 6
Once all the painted areas are dry, add a few waves using the fine edding 5300 in white to finish off your picture. It’s not good if the paint is still wet as the colours will run.

Step 7
Here you can see the finished picture. We simply stuck it onto a glass frame using adhesive tape.
